Please be sure to review the main Health Insurance page for more information. Individuals and Families that purchase Individual Health Insurance in Maryland are not required to use the Maryland Health Connection Benefit Exchange as residents of other jurisdictions are, unless you feel that your ‘Tax Household’ income qualifies for a subsidy. You can only process a request for a Subsidy through the Exchange. Please review ‘Tax Household’ income levels that may qualify for a subsidy listed in the chart on the main Health Insurance page. If your income does not qualify for a subsidy there is no need to enroll in a health plan using the Exchange. Those  not seeking a Subsidy can simply enroll for coverage off exchange, which many people feel is an easier enrollment process. The plans and benefits offered and the pricing are the same on or off Exchange for those that do not qualify for a Subsidy.

However if you feel that your income may qualify for a Subsidy we are authorized and credentialed Brokers for the Maryland Health Connection Exchange and can assist you. You will need to click here in order to request assistance from us, after sending the request we will receive an email from the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange with your request for assistance and will approve the request. Once the request has been approved we will be able to assist you with your application and review the plan selection process with you in order to complete your enrollment for the new plan year.

For those that do not qualify for a Subsidy you may click here to visit our Private Exchange link where you can view plan benefits, pricing and enroll in the plan of your choice. We are happy to work with you to answer your questions and concerns in order to make certain you enroll in the best plan for you and your family. CareFirst BC/BS and Evergreen Health offer very competitive plans in the DC Metro area, while many carriers are withdrawing from the individual markets. Please click here to view the CareFirst Provider directory and click here to view the Evergreen Health provider directory.

Many of the people that we work with who purchase Individual Health insurance coverage are self-employed. Self-Employed individuals may be able to deduct a portion or all the premiums they pay for tax purposes. Therefore we will work with you to be sure you are getting every possible deduction and paying premiums as efficiently as possible.

In addition so that you do not have to spend your valuable time on hold waiting for a ‘Call Center’ representative after your enrollment – we provide you with professional customer service and support by assisting you with claims issues, billing and administrative questions. Please contact our office today in order to get the information you need for you and your family to make the best decision for your health care in the next plan year.
